🎉 Maths Week – The Grand Finale! 🎸

19th Oct 2025
Today was the final day of Maths Week and what a brilliant week it has been. The whole school has been full of energy, excitement and creativity from start to finish. Pupils have been solving problems, creating, designing and showing just how much fun maths can be.

A big thank you from Maths Eyes for all the amazing entries and for using your Maths Eyes at home all week. It was wonderful to see so many pupils spotting shapes, patterns and numbers in the world around them and sharing what they found.

Today was also a chance to finish any of our activities from the week such as the Number Poster, the Maths Week T-shirt design for our school teddy and the short story or comic competition. The infant classes have been designing posters based on their favourite number while the middle and senior classes created posters that tell their own story through numbers like their age, height, shoe size or favourite number.

Pupils have also been busy designing a Maths Week T-shirt for our teddy using bright colours and creative ideas. The short story and comic competition has produced some fantastic entries too, with stories that included a shape, a number and a maths-themed character.

Third Class continued their Egyptian theme with a brilliant Maths Eyes group project combining geography and maths. First Class enjoyed problem-solving games and had great fun using Mathletics. Second Class got creative with their Frankenstein shape activity, building their own characters from different shapes. Senior Infants went exploring on a Maths Trail around the school, spotting shapes, numbers and patterns along the way.

Well done to everyone for making Maths Week such a success and for bringing so much enthusiasm to every activity shoeing that maths really is all around us!
