Maths Week Day 1
Maths Week Got Off to a Great Start!
Our two First Classes kicked off Maths Week with a fun STEM challenge — “Rescuing Teddy from the Tall Tree!” Using their creativity and teamwork, they designed and built clever Lego contraptions to save Teddy.
Second Class enjoyed the Skittles Estimation activity, carefully estimating, counting, and representing their colourful findings.
Mr. Fitzpatrick’s Third Class and both Fourth Classes took part in an exciting online Mini Quiz with Frank Schwindlein, while Ms. O’Sullivan’s Third Class got active with a hands-on Active Maths session. Both Third Classes also completed a sweet Maths Eyes activity!
Our Senior Infants were busy measuring and comparing in their Measure Me activity, while our older 4th and 6th class pupils paired up with our Junior Infants to share stories and read books filled with mathematical language.
It was a fantastic start to Maths Week — full of fun, learning, and problem-solving. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! #mathsweek2025
