The pupils in both 6th classes were delighted to participate in an afternoon of physics lessons presented by Niamh and Sadhbh from the University of Limerick Physics Dept. The SOPHia project aims to encourage pupils to form positive perceptions of physics and to address the gender imbalance in physics. We were particularly delighted to see Niamh Hickey as she is a past pupil of ours and we wish her well as she pursues her BSc Applied Physics Degree and plans to continue to her PhD next year.
