Rang a Sé - Learning from Home Resources

30th Mar 2020

30th March 2020

Good Morning,

I hope you had a nice weekend. It was a bit of a funny one for me given Friday’s announcement of 2km for exercising but hopefully all of our efforts will be justly rewarded and normality will resume shortly.

There is the plan of work for 6th Class for the week ahead. Go to the 'parents' tab, Home school documents, 6th class - you may need to scroll down once in 6th Class to see the various folders but all are named by subject and dated 30th March to April 3rd. Everyone’s home situation is different, with varying numbers competing for technology and various other demands. Please take a look at what I’ve outlined in each subject. The work for each subject is then contained within its own folder.

Try your best to keep reading at the very least and try your hand at what I have put down here. Nothing I’ve asked you to do is designed to cause you any stress, but merely to give you a few bits to keep you going over the week. Split it into blocks during the day if that works better for you and your family situation. If you are flying through the work I assigned, there are other options in the folders provided.

Thinking of you all throughout this difficult time & looking forward to returning to school soon, seeing each other and catching up!

Mind yourselves & be kind!

All the best,

Miss Ryan

26th March 2020

Hi girls,

I hope you are all doing well & looking after yourselves. Please God, if everyone plays their part in social distancing, this will be over soon.

Keep busy & I don't mean with loads of school work but reading/rereading some books you enjoy; get out for walks or runs when your locality isn't too busy; say a prayer; play board or card games with your family at home; do some homemade circuit training & try your hand at baking/cooking. Some easy recipes about & I'm sure mom/dad have some they wouldn't mind sharing. You could also make some Easter Cards and post them to friends or family you haven't seen in awhile. They would love to receive them. Most importantly, remember - everyone in your family is missing their routine & normality, their friends & other family members too so make sure we are all being kind & understanding in this surreal & difficult time.

I miss school and seeing all the staff and of course, you girls. We'll all be reunited soon & put this behind us. I am out walking the dogs every day, thankfully the countryside is quiet. I'm doing my school work too, plenty of cleaning & cooking/baking also. And enjoying some reading before bed.

Just to let you know, the documents below are moving to a new section of the website: green tab - Home School Documents; we'll have our own 6th class page here where I will post work to next week....more details will follow, but for now, work away with what I gave you as best you can & keep smiling - this too will pass!

Look after yourself & each other,

All the best,

Miss Ryan
